My Client is looking for the following individual description:
Epoxy Formulation Chemist - Minnesota, United States (On-site)
The qualified candidate must be a hands-on two-part formulating chemist with thorough knowledge and experience in making epoxy composite resin systems used in automotive, aerospace, construction, oil and gas, and marine industries.
The candidate must have a thorough understanding of resin transfer molding, vacuum bagging, pultrusion, prepreg, hand lay-up, and other methods of composite processing. Other resin chemistries and application experience such as coating is a plus.
- Design and perform laboratory experiments; as directed, to develop 2-part epoxy resin systems as per project requirements.
- Understanding of mixing and processing requirements to make 2-part epoxy products.
- In-depth knowledge of epoxy polymer raw materials and chemistry.
- Experience or knowledge of epoxy adhesive chemistry is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to understand, speak, write, and read English.
- B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Materials, or Polymer Science; Chemical Engineering or other related fields.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with 2-part epoxy resin systems for composites applications.
